Wallingford Wi-fi System Operational
5th August 2010
Wallingford Partnership Ltd and T James Telecoms are delighted to announce that the WiFi system is now operational in the town. For a trial period (subject to fair use policy) the system will be completely free to use. Simply enable your mobile device (notebook, laptop or smart phone) to detect the "Wallingford WiFi" wireless signal and connect when the signal is detected. You can then access the internet through your device. The signal is available from St Leonard's Square in the south to the north end of the market place, and from the Riverside at Crowmarsh (and also the Boathouse pub) in the east to the Kinecroft in the west. Seen in the picture are Councillor Lynda Atkins and Chairman of the Wallingford Partnership. Derrick Hoare proving that everyone can embrace the technology and find an opportunity to connect on the move.
